Riga Balaj, who is studying in Kosovo for a master’s degree in law, says that while artificial intelligence is saving her time, it has left her feeling lazy.
“AI has saved me a lot of time by helping me find information from books that I don’t otherwise have access to,” said Balaj, 25. “But in some ways, it also makes me lazy, because the answers come so quickly that I don’t feel the same need to research things deeply.”
Like their peers around the world, students in Kosovo are turning increasingly to AI tools such as ChatGPT for help with assignments, in summarising academic texts and explaining complex concepts.
