Work is continuing steadily on the western section of the new south stand at Stadion kraj Save, with construction progress now clearly revealing the shape of the modern sports complex taking form in eastern Croatia.
The reinforced concrete structure of the stand has now been fully completed, including the attic walls. The steel framework for the roof canopy has also been fully installed and covered with profiled sheet metal.
Significant progress has also been made on the interior of the building. Partition walls on the ground floor have been completed, along with most of the first floor, the City Council said.
Electrical and plumbing installations have been fitted on both levels. Plastering works on the ground floor walls are finished, while thermal insulation has been installed on the floors of both storeys. In addition, cement screed has been laid on the ground floor.
Part of the external joinery has already been installed, and façade works are currently underway. At the same time, contractors are carrying out additional installation works, including electrical systems, heating, water supply and drainage.
One of the key modern features of the new stand is its solar power installation. A solar power plant has been fully installed on the roof of the canopy above the south stand and is currently undergoing system testing.
The new stand will cover an area of around 840 square metres and will provide 666 seats for spectators.
The facility is designed to include a range of modern spaces for fans, players, media and technical staff. Inside the stand, plans include dedicated media working areas, a restaurant with accompanying amenities, facilities for the police, as well as several service and technical rooms.
On the ground floor, there will be a ticket sales point, a medical room and equipment storage. Areas beneath the stand will house steward facilities, technical systems and sanitary facilities for visitors.
Media representatives will have a separate entrance and access to a mixed zone area where post-match interviews can take place.
Accessible sanitary facilities for visitors with disabilities will be available in line with the existing east stand, which will also serve spectators using the new south stand.
These developments mark another important step in the ongoing modernisation of Stadion kraj Save, improving infrastructure and conditions for sporting events while enhancing the overall experience for visitors.
