I remember the one of toyama’s mayor actually went to the disaster site of noto earthquake and just help with the cooking and cut cabbages quietly without announcing anything.

Hmm… but men will eventually get chased out of the kitchen anyway.

  2. How hard would it be just to say “people with cooking experience should volunteer to do cooking”? Even if it ends up being the ladies in a small town, there’s absolutely no reason to make things gendered. In an emergency, the responsibility is shared by everyone according to what they can do.

    Question:

During emergency in sinking boats like Titanic, is it problematic if manuals say “women and children first must go on life saving boats and men last”???

  4. Wow women are forced to cook, what a travesty.

How about men (majority of whom are economically less well off) who are forcefully conscripted and forced to the front lines of war to have their limbs blown apart, suffer from life long PTSD, and potentially losing their lives?
