MARION, Ill. (WSIL) — The Lake Egypt Water District announced Tuesday that a boil water order affecting certain local residents has been lifted.

The order had applied to customers on Grassy Road from Route 37 to Childers Road, including all side streets, as well as Grange Hall Road from Grassy Road to Neber Road.

Residents in the affected areas were previously advised to boil their water before use as a precautionary measure. Officials confirmed that water quality tests now meet safety standards, and normal water use can resume.
