Konecranes has strengthened its industrial service presence across the Asia-Pacific region with the acquisition of Ex-Kcranes in Thailand and Trimate Industries Ltd. in New Zealand. The transactions, completed during the first quarter of 2026, mark a targeted expansion aimed at enhancing service capabilities and customer reach in key regional markets. Financial details of the acquisitions have not been disclosed.

Ex-Kcranes, headquartered in Rayong along Thailand’s eastern seaboard, provides industrial maintenance and service solutions to customers across Thailand and neighboring Laos. The company brings established regional relationships and local expertise that align with Konecranes’ strategy of delivering responsive, on-the-ground service support.

In New Zealand, Trimate Industries operates as a supplier of crane components and spare parts and serves as a distributor for Demag equipment. With a strong installed base across the country, Trimate adds valuable technical capabilities and customer access in a mature market with steady demand for maintenance and lifecycle services.

Together, the two companies contribute annual revenues of approximately EUR 2.5 million and add around 20 employees to Konecranes’ global workforce. The integration is expected to strengthen the company’s ability to deliver maintenance, inspection, and modernization services while enhancing its proximity to customers in the region.

The expansion reflects Konecranes’ continued focus on building a service-led growth model supported by digital tools, advanced technologies, and a strong commitment to operational efficiency. By extending its regional footprint, the company aims to improve service responsiveness, support customer productivity, and advance solutions that contribute to safer and more sustainable material handling operations.

Konecranes remains focused on enabling more efficient material flows while supporting decarbonization and circular economy goals. Through strategic investments and targeted acquisitions, the company continues to reinforce its position as a global leader in lifting equipment and industrial services.
