    Aren’t they German “kriegsloks”?
Ironically DRB 52 “kriegsloks” were also most numerous steam locomotives used by Polish PKP train lines.

The only Polish thing in kriegslokomotives was the work of prisoners of concentration camps, who were Poles, in companies building them. PKP marked them as TY2 after the war, same as Belgium – Type26, Soviet Union TE, Yugoslavia JZ33 and so on. Some units were built between 1945 and 1946 directly as TY2 indeed, but we are not talking about them.

BTW. There were just cheap, simplified versions of a pre war locomotive, only with improved cabin insulation.
