The World Bank will present its new Public Finance Review for Bosnia and Herzegovina at two events: on March 17 in Sarajevo and March 18 in Banja Luka. The events will bring together government officials, representatives of civil society, academia, the private sector, and international partners to discuss the country’s key fiscal challenges and policy priorities.
The Bosnia and Herzegovina Public Finance Review aims to inform policy choices that support sustainable growth, strengthen fiscal resilience, and promote greater social inclusion. Organized into six chapters, the Review offers a practical assessment of how public finances can be managed more efficiently and fairly, with better outcomes for citizens.
The chapters focus on maintaining macroeconomic stability, enhancing spending efficiency, reforming the tax system, preserving a best‑practice VAT system, rebalancing social protection, and sustaining pension reforms.
