Russian authorities shared information with their Indian counterparts on the activities of six Ukrainian nationals and a US citizen arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for allegedly training ethnic armed groups in Myanmar, people familiar with the matter said.

The group is suspected to have been making trips to Myanmar since 2024, allegedly supplying drones and jamming equipment and imparting training to ethnic groups, they added.

  2. So we have to accept terrorists of anti-Russia nationalities?

Edit: I was trying to reply to the comment “India is a pro russian state”. Ahh, now the downvotes make sense.

This is a tip off from Russia of all countries – which is about as unreliable as you can get on this topic.

Interesting to understand why Ukrainians/US had a stake in Myanmar of all the places? To destabilize?

You still wanna believe that the USA is with us.
It’s better to be the enemy of the US than its friend.

Okay imma play devils advocate. Myanmar is genociding minority ethnic groups right now in their civil war (it’s been highly reported on), so if they supplied this help to those groups, I’m ok with it. This might be a movie by India and Russia to aid the military junta controlling Myanmar to maintains stability in the region and maybe gain a future ally.

    Weird withdrawal:
    >On Wednesday, an Indian lawyer representing the Ukrainians withdrew from the case, citing “professional exigencies”

Subsequent media reports indicated that the arrests were triggered by intelligence shared by [Russian](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russia) authorities with Indian agencies. The suspects had reportedly been tracked for nearly three months across [India’s northeastern region](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northeast_India) prior to their arrest. Investigators alleged that the group had made repeated trips to Myanmar since 2024, supplying drones and signal-jamming equipment and providing training to ethnic armed groups. According to submissions cited in reports, the accused are alleged to have conducted such training on multiple occasions, though detailed evidence has not been publicly disclosed. The investigation has also focused on identifying local support networks that may have facilitated their movements, while Ukrainian authorities expressed willingness to cooperate with India in the probe.

    VanDyke isn’t CIA.

CIA doesn’t hire guys who have twitter accounts let alone a guy whose bio says he ran covert operations in Venezuela.

This is a scammy setup and sure let’s give the Russians credit for this operation to discredit Ukraine and the CIA.

It is bullshit and NIA will let VanDyke go and the CIA will justly claim they had no involvement whatsoever but that won’t sway public opinion because the CIA uses a pro forma letter that always claims no overt ties to anyone.

Total bullshit.  I can’t believe I am reading this nonsense.

Here’s me thinking India and America are friends, do they just do this stuff to everybody?

He is an active combat veteran. I am really pissed.
