But local travel agents are bracing for a wave of travelers to Spain this summer.  Global tensions and conflict are shifting travel patterns, and agents report rising cancellations for long‑haul trips to Asia due to transit through the Middle East and increased demand for destinations in Spain, Europe and the Americas.

Along the Mediterranean coast, businesses expect a surge to start this spring, with some preparing for pressure on already saturated hotspots. From restaurants to family-run food stalls, many hope the renewed interest in domestic tourism will boost the region,  though some worry peak summer months may strain local capacity.
