Wait until she finds out that ICE already has agents in Toronto working out of the US consulate.

Seems like a good preventative measure to stop the Senegalese team getting arrested. /hj

I honestly was under the impression that foreign security agents/law-enforcement agents would have no authority in Canada. Like ice arresting/detaining/kidnapping somebody on Canadian soil would be criminal, wouldn’t it? Can someone explain to me if it’s not?

Edit to add, even if they were allowed to enforce on Canadian soil, how in the world could they possibly identify an “illegal” US person, in a Canadian crowd, on Canadian soil? Like, there’s no way an absolute hell they could compel any person to provide identification in Canada. The whole thing just seems so fucked up.

oh for fucks sake. the city of Vancouver passed a similar and equally pointless motion. City councils, need to stay in their lane. they lack the authority to implement such a ban

Well, since foreign authorities unilaterally acting to arrest or detain individuals on our soul is almost an act of war, I think Olivia can stand down. Maybe check how countries work before making new news stories.
Go back to (over)spending taxpayer $Billions.

This all political posturing. Arrest them for what? They will be in Canada, not illegally in the US. I hope whoever liked this post gets their tummy rub and head pat they were looking for from the internet today.

Why would there be ICE in Toronto? If someone is an illegal or undocumented person in Canada, that has nothing to do with them being an illegal or undocumented person in the United States. Therefore, ICE has no place here. I don’t get it.

ICE – US Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

    Not Canada.

  8. The mayor of Toronto will find that difficult to implement. It’s somewhat outside of the municipal remit.

  9. Yes,yes yes .im white .im canadian..and I don’t want them here ..ever..your city.Ms.Chow…enforce the laws and demand no foreign interference at all..ice. american border. FBI. ..any other american law enforcement.. ..stay the fuck out of here..you are not welcome .. Canada….

Quick question Canada. Would this rule then extend to Pennsylvania State Police, U.S.Marshals Service, Alabama Highway Patrol, Texas Department of Public Safety, Georgia Bureau of Investigation, US Capitol Police, the IRS, DEA and/or the US Postal Service not being allowed to take over your cities as well?

If so, what’s up with that Canada and why so strict all of a sudden?

  11. Other than a very small number (maybe a dozen or so) of ICE to deal with things than come up involving Americans, I can’t figure out why ICE agents would be in Canada with numbers, let alone enforce anything on foreign soil (again just assist locals when dealing with Americans)

This may be the most scare mongering BS I’ve ever read. There is absolutely no shot ICE sends agents to Canada. You people need to get sent to the loony bin.

  13. Olivia Chow can’t keep crackheads off of the TTC, and she thinks she can ban ICE agents lol
