Not much information on this Reuters article but Gulfnews states:

    >**The mechanics:** Iranian oil already loaded onto tankers (“on the water” / floating storage) has been effectively stranded or heavily discounted due to long-standing US sanctions.

    >Temporarily lifting those sanctions on this specific ~140 million barrels (not new production) would let it flow freely into global markets.

    >**The intent:** This instantly adds supply equivalent to 10–14 days of the shortfall caused by disruptions in the Gulf (e.g., Strait of Hormuz issues from the conflict).

    >**In short:** It’s a quick, low-cost way to flood the market and drive prices down without immediately draining US reserves.

The POS in the US has no cohesive plan and is again trying to find a way to chicken out because the gas prices are now soaring because of their bs.

Fuck the Iranian regiment but also fuck Trump and his US government cronies!

  3. so we went from end of sanction in exchange for nuclear oversight (obama) to ending sanctions and zero oversight.

    art of the deal.

It’s wild. Bombing the place and then letting them sell the oil stuck on ships anyway. What even is this timeline.

Now he’s trying to wipe his hands of the mess and leave it to nato to police the straight so he can blame everything on them

  6. Wait so we are at war with Iran. And we have attacked Kharg island wheee they export virtually all their oil from. But now we’re allowing them to sell and deliver oil ?

Seriously what the fuck kind of strategy is this ?

This situation means to me that we just lost the war. Is there any other take I’m missing ?

  7. GuiltyAnalysis3316 on

    Let me get this straight.
So US bombs Iran, lifts sanctions on Russian and Iranian oil, which they then sell and use money to fund their wars?
I really don’t understand this world anymore

  8. >In essence, we will be using the Iranian barrels against Tehran to keep the price down as we continue Operation Epic Fury

    Um… I have questions…

  9. What a fucking joke

It’s sad we all have to look like a bunch of Americlowns because if this piece if shit con artist

I’d rather have people think I’m AI at this point

So spending $1bn/day at war but allowing them to profit off of their exports? Makes no sense.

  11. Whoever is writing the plot for this universe is now just trying to see how much can they push it until a French Revolution thingie happens.

And we got the universe with the crappiest writer that ran out of ideas.

  12. If the US backs down now, Iran will make a mad dash for nukes.

If the US doesn’t back down now, they will need to have boots on the ground to move a step up the escalation ladder and possibly change things.

There are only bad options remaining for the US from here.

So now we are helping Iran at the same time at war with them? Fucking absolute amateurs running this country. They are flailing and have had to resort to this now!

I hate Iran a lot but what really irritates me is that this military offensive wasn’t needed. Our economic sanctions were working pretty well from what I could tell.

  15. Imagine if Ukraine pushed for sanction relief on Russian oil. That is what this is. I’ve never heard of a country removing sanctions from another country they are actively bombing. It’s like diplomacy on meth.

America, the land of the free and is absolutely not a authoritarian surveillance state that can do whatever it wants.

Tell me how you guys are different from Russia/China again?

  17. US authorizes? Lol, what a joke. It is because the world is moving away and leaving the US and Israel behind and now trump & netanyahu are crying like the little bitches they are.

  18. They will sell out as soon as things get tough. Especially when they made it that way.

  19. i_did_nothing_ on

Trump is a fucking joke. Pathetic child raping piece of shit, someone needs to commit some  regime change.

  20. Anyone else starting to get an inkling that the current US admin is brain dead stupid across the board?

  21. Just so I understand this correctly…

*Ended the nuclear deal with Iran that allowed us to inspect their nuclear facilities at any time for any reason

    *Bombed Iran

*Kills the ayatollah and installs a younger, angrier ayatollah who is the son of the previous one

*Iran closes strait of Hormuz causing gas prices (locally) to go up $1/gal within a week

*Lifts sanctions on Russian oil so he can provide his close friend with more money to fight against Ukraine

and now he’s lifting sanctions on Iranian oil and we’re giving them money so they can fight us back?

What the actual fuck is this timeline?

  22. choopie-chup-chup on

Trying hard to calculate how this is a net benefit, from a…y’know…Art of the Deal standpoint

  23. Ehhh, it’s not Tuesday? Why is he chickening out now?

Where are the adults in the US government?
