Dry Alerts in Effect Across Much of Nation, Clear Skies Expected Monday

Dry weather advisories were in effect Sunday across the greater Seoul area, the east coast of Gangwon Province, North Chungcheong and North Gyeongsang Provinces, and mountainous areas of Jeju.

The Korea Meteorological Administration said light rain was expected in parts of Jeju Island through the evening.

Skies will be mostly clear nationwide on Monday, with a wide temperature gap between day and night.

Morning lows will range from minus one to nine degrees Celsius, with Seoul starting around four degrees. about one to two degrees lower than Sunday.

Daytime highs will reach between 12 and 21 degrees, with Seoul expected to hit about 19 degrees, similar to the previous day.

Waves in offshore waters of the central East Sea are forecast to reach around two meters, creating relatively high sea conditions.
