A Canadian border officer and a truck driver have been arrested and charged after they were caught smuggling a transport truck and trailer loaded with millions of dollars in contraband into the country.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) announced that a Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officer at the Queenston-Lewiston port of entry in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, was arrested and charged. Police determined he “didn’t follow CBSA policy and let in millions worth of opium, cannabis and tobacco.”
