Veliko Tarnovo is a splendor, which brings together Bulgaria’s past, the beauty of the present and the optimism for the future, National Assembly Chair Raya Nazaryan said on the occasion of the town’s holiday on Sunday.

Nazaryan pointed out that there is no Bulgarian who has not felt pride and admiration when visiting Veliko Tarnovo, who has not fallen into humble silence in front of the Holy Forty Martyrs Church and who has not felt true delight in front of the majestic Tsarevets hill.

“It is remarkable how today the local government, institutions and the entire civil society of Veliko Tarnovo are investing all their professionalism and inspiration for the good of the town and its European appearance,” Nazaryan noted, adding that every town with a glorious past deserves and expects to have a wonderful and proud future.
