In the sixth attempt, the Kosovo National Handball Team has recorded its first victory against Bosnia and Herzegovina. On Sunday night in Pristina, the Kosovo handball players won with a score of 33:29 at the Youth Palace.

However, the victory was not enough to advance to the third and final round of qualifying for the 2027 World Cup, as Bosnia and Herzegovina had won the first match in Tuzla by 13 goals and advanced thanks to the better overall result.

The match started with the Bosnians ahead, but Kosovo quickly took the lead and held it until the end. In the first half, the Kosovar lead was two goals, while in the second half it reached four goals at times.

In this match, the most efficient was Bujar Ramosaj, who scored seven goals and led the defense. Leonard Gegaj, Shaban Zogaj and Drilon Tahirukaj scored four additional goals.

With this victory, Kosovo ends its qualifying efforts with a positive result against an opponent it had previously defeated several times, showing the team’s progress and strong character.

Now, the team will focus on qualifying for the European Championship, where it aims to achieve its first qualification at a major event with the senior team. /Telegraph/
