JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – One person is dead after a shooting at Last Call Sports Bar early Sunday morning.
At approximately 2:30 a.m. on March 22, Jackson Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting at Last Call Sports Bar, located in the 6300 block of Ridgewood Road.
Both the Robbery Homicide Unit and Mobile Crime Unit were called to the scene as well.
According to JPD officials, the victim, identified as 24-year-old Joshua Butler, was shot after an altercation at the scene.
Butler was then transported to a nearby hospital by a private vehicle, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Butler’s next-of-kin has been notified, officials added.
This is an active and ongoing investigation.
