Milrem Robotics and Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ) have signed a memorandum of understanding to expand defense cooperation between Estonia and Poland and strengthen industrial ties across Central and Eastern Europe.

The agreement sets out plans to jointly develop advanced defense technologies, combining expertise in robotics, manufacturing, and systems integration.

A key focus will be integrating payloads onto unmanned ground vehicles, enabling faster deployment of adaptable systems tailored to evolving battlefield requirements.

The partners will also examine how Milrem Robotics’ autonomous technologies can be incorporated into PGZ’s vehicle platforms to boost next-generation capabilities.

Beyond initial development efforts, the agreement outlines broader collaboration across research and development, production, maintenance, and lifecycle support.

The companies aim to translate the agreement into follow-on contracts covering system deliveries and upgrades.

“By combining Milrem Robotics’ leadership in autonomous ground systems with PGZ’s extensive manufacturing base and defence portfolio, we aim to foster innovation, enhance interoperability, and strengthen regional security capabilities,” said Kuldar Väärsi, CEO of Milrem Robotics.

PGZ Vice President Marcin Idzik added that the partnership would support the development of unmanned solutions within Poland’s defense ecosystem and strengthen its industrial base.
