Hi everyone, so I am living in a subletting apartment. My landlord informed me that he had an internal app from the housing company, where he can see the energy consumption, etc… And he showed me this screenshot saying that I have use X amount of kWh for warm water per month, that according to the app that consumption is extremely high,…. etc and tell me to pay attention to it. However, when I asked about the detailed contract, he show me his old bill which calculate everything hot water per cubic meter. It’s confusing for me here, because I am able to track my hot water usage through reading the meter: c.a. 1 cubic meter of hot water a month (according to Internet that is average). I track this multiple time, I even got a technician to check for leakage or defects on the reading, and he confirmed that everything is working fine. But apparently according to the app, I am seriously overusing hot water. My landlord is also just another tenant, so he also has no clue why is it like that in the app.
Just want to ask if anyone got any idea how these apps works, or at least what I should ask for when reaching out to the housing company about this. I have been very stressful about my hot water usage lately, I usually even go to the gym just to take a shower and not daring to waste any hot water from my own house.
