EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) – UW–Eau Claire hosted the Midwest Instruction and Computing Symposium on campus Friday, March 27 and Saturday, March 28.
This event brought over 150 students and faculty from 21 Midwest colleges. The event features student research on artificial intelligence, plus programming, cybersecurity and robotics contests, including a “Hungry Hungry Robots” puck-gathering challenge.
“I’m here with my senior design team, we are presenting, actually we just presented our project. Which is an AI based tool for screening for diseases with AI, diabetic retinopathy?” said Will Lassiter, Senior at Milwaukee School of Engineering.
Project presentations will continue Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m.
