DEL CITY, Okla. –
The Mayor of Del City, Floyd Eason, announced he is stepping down due to health issues, he confirmed to News 9.
Eason, 72, confirmed that the issues following a stroke he suffered last year have made it difficult to continue his role as mayor.
Eason has served in office for seven years, and his term was set to expire in April 2027.
Vice Mayor Pam Finch will step in as Del City mayor.
