Progressive Bulgaria leader Rumen Radev said at a meeting in Dobrich that Bulgaria is not a poor country but one that has been mismanaged and plundered, blaming oligarchic circles and ineffective governance for draining public resources.
Speaking while presenting the coalition’s candidate list for the Dobrich constituency, Radev stressed the need to combat corruption, reform the judiciary and support small and medium-sized enterprises.
He said citizens expect a more secure and sustainable path of development and thanked supporters for their backing in previous elections. Radev also pointed to regional challenges in Dobrich, including inadequate infrastructure, limited access to healthcare and education, and a lack of opportunities for young people.
Among the coalition’s priorities, he highlighted protecting national interests, avoiding involvement in military conflicts, developing agriculture and tourism, and improving healthcare and education, describing the coalition’s goals as clear and straightforward.
Radev called for higher voter turnout and support for the coalition, saying that if it secures a majority, it will work towards accelerated social and economic development.
