Both European teams will be watching this summer’s North American extravaganza from the comfort of their own homes, making the remainder of this year’s friendly fixtures that much more frustrating as they look to start fresh. The Crusaders have triumphed in four of the seven encounters between these teams to date as the two sides square up for the first time in almost exactly eight years.

Both of these teams finished on three points apiece in their respective UEFA qualifying groups and really struggled to get their campaigns off the ground.
However, that will have been particularly frustrating for Georgia after a highly promising Euro 2024 campaign, and the drop-off was confirmed following a 2-1 defeat to Bulgaria last time out in November:

The Crusaders have emerged as victor on Lithuanian soil just once, during the qualification campaign for the 2002 World Cup, though the Tricolours have since returned the favor.
No player in the current Lithuania squad boasts more than five goals for their country, with that record belonging to Celje striker Armandas Kucys (15 shy of the country’s all-time record).
Meanwhile, Georgia will once again lead on the wing-striker duo of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Georges Mikautadze, who are enjoying fine seasons for Paris Saint-Germain and Villarreal, respectively.
