First, there’s no way the fleet can get into the Gulf right now, or it’d be idiotic to do so.
Second, the amount of troops needed to actually invade and make a difference is a hell of a lot more.
Third, Kharg Island is so close to the mainland it’d be suicidal to try and hold.

No one is talking about Trumps big out from this situation. The vote on the war powers act is April 12. It will be bipartisan with majority democrats. This will give him the out that he wants and he can blame any fallout on democrats restricting his power. That is why he keeps moving the goal posts on his demands. He’s waiting for it to happen so he can say his hands were tied so he can pass the buck and place the blame of all his fuckups on someone else.
