A bill that would require all new warehouses and distribution centers use clean energy has passed through the state house along party lines.

House Bill 1260, would require all newly built warehouses and distribution centers use solar energy and all existing facilities that are already use solar energy receive tax incentives.

The bill passed on the house floor along party lines with a vote of 101 to 98 with one house Democrat voting with Republicans.

The bill head to the senate energy committee that is controlled by republicans including local senators Elder Vogel and Scott Hutchinson.
