People Are DRAGGING Josh Duhamel For His Comments About Politics

You know Josh Duhamel…right? Anyone?

In all seriousness, whether you knew it or not, Josh has been working pretty steadily over the years. You probably know him best for the Transformers films — or, more likely, from his marriage to Fergie, which lasted from 2009 to 2017.

Anyway, Josh recently appeared on The Megyn Kelly Show, which rarely means anything good — and, lo and behold, his chat with the show’s despicable namesake has resulted in the type of blowback that smarter folk would be likely to avoid.

The trouble started when Josh decided to talk about politics — or, rather, why he doesn’t talk about politics, and more broadly why he doesn’t believe celebrities should talk about politics in general. “I have real strong opinions about things, but I don’t really talk about it because it’s like, ‘Why would I alienate half my audience?’” he said. “Because I respect their views on things, but I’m not going to preach to them.”

“If you really want to be successful in this business, why would you make half of your audience despise you by your beliefs? Maybe they don’t care. I don’t know. I mean, I look at it as a business decision, you know?”

“I’m here just to make cool movies, cool TV. I’m here to make cool stuff,” he went on to say. “I’m the court jester, you know? If I want to preach to you about what I believe politically, I will go run for office, which I’m not.”

Right off the bat, people started to point out that Josh was basically being dishonest when it came to his not being politically outspoken. Back in 2023, he endorsed the former governor of North Dakota, Doug Burgum, in the Republican presidential primary.
