Belarus is planning to establish an international research centre in the field of pharmaceuticals within the next two years, as part of efforts to strengthen scientific cooperation and expand high-value drug production, reports
Belteleradiocompany, a partner of TV BRICS.

The future centre is expected to conduct research not only for domestic needs but also for international clients, reinforcing Belarus’s position in the global pharmaceutical and scientific landscape.

A key partner in the project is India, one of the world’s leading producers of medicines. Cooperation with India is seen as a strategic priority, enabling knowledge exchange and supporting the development of advanced pharmaceutical technologies.

The initiative is designed to create a full technological cycle, covering all stages from raw material procurement to the production of finished high-tech pharmaceutical products with a high level of localisation.

At the same time, Belarus continues to explore joint research initiatives in the pharmaceutical sector with partners from Russia, further expanding international collaboration.

The planned centre is expected to enhance the country’s research capacity, support innovation in the pharmaceutical industry and contribute to the development of globally competitive medical products.
