    It’s an argument by his defense attorney, let’s remain skeptical.

    To be clear, the TMZ blurb states that the defense team is arguing that the ATF was “unable to identify the bullet recovered at autopsy to the rifle allegedly tied to Mr. Robinson.”

    That’s not exactly an argument that the bullet was fired by a different gun. Just that, according to the defense, there isn’t concrete linkage between the bullet and the recovered gun. There could be any number of reasons for that to be the case (for example, the forensic evidence is less than perfect, or it is consistent with several different firearms including the one that was recovered).
