The us wants Europe to shoulder the burden for European security well those patriots are for European security

  2. The way the Trump has bullied and insulted nearly every country in the world, the US better get used to hearing the word “no” from other nations when it comes calling with its hat in hand.

Good thing Poland just denied SAFE and invested intensively into US tech. More stuff to ‘voluntairily’ provide.

  4. Even putting aside US behaviour against allies or NATO lately…. Poland is rn bordering with a war against their mortal enemy – Russia. And bordering with Belarus which is basically a russian colony, a country that russia already used as a staging ground for attacks.

It has very few Patriot batteries. They are not some extras in storage, they are all in active use deployed around the most critical targets.

    What answer was expected?

I thought the US is the biggest and best military on earth, but hey can’t even handle Iran without trying to drag everyone into it?

EU reallly needs a self produced Patriot equivalent, best would be to not get any US stuff anymore

Putin’s asset is working extra to weaken Europe’s border. Another senseless war, another distraction.

  8. “When asked by Rzeczpospolita if Warsaw had come under pressure from the US to supply the batteries, spokesman for Poland’s Minister of National Defense, Janusz Sejmej, said: “The Americans are not pressuring us in any way on these matters.” ”

Feel like it’s Important to include this for the people who don’t read the article

  9. No one has united the world more than Trump recently. Everyone is telling him to fuck right off. This is amazing

  10. If we have any to spare we send them to Ukraine. If Trump wants to play terrorist in the middle east he can deal with the consequences himself.

When even *Poland* denies a US request, Washington done messed up. Good for the neighbours, though. Warsaw has been buying Arms all around the Planet for a while. May it serve to keep them free and outside the whims of orange Kings.

  12. The world is just reacting like a friend group reacts to that friend that goes out and gets into fights or creates chaos every single time you organise a good night out.

The US at the moment is that friend that constantly ruins a good evening out by creating “unnecessary” drama and gets annoyed when you finally decide, enough is enough and you refuse to bail them out anymore.

We all have had that one friend once in our life. It’s bloody tiresome.

Remember what just happened to the Swiss who order the patriot missiles and now the F35.

They essentially redirected the missile launcher to other military initiatives and then delayed the order by 5 years, so the swiss paused payments and now it is uncertain whether it will even happen. Then in response the US delayed their F35 delivery indefinitely, essentially took the money for the F35 and redirected it to the Iran war.

So the swiss are now unsure of “when or what timeline” they will recieve any F35’s……

So the US is literally spending Swiss money on the Iran war and in return the Swiss isn’t getting their money back and are unsure when or if they are getting their military hardware. Just knowing they are not getting it in the required time.

Now Europe is going “wtf….” because if the Swiss isn’t getting their orders in time, what about the rest of their orders?….the world is going to stop buying US systems if they know that whenever the US enters a military conflict, they will redirect the military hardware for their own personal war

  14. To be somewhat fair, Iran could have been the ones that provoked it and everyone rushing in to help, and I *still* wouldn’t begrudge Poland this one.

Poland would be psychotically stupid to remove ANY of their weapons right now.

Oh, of course Poland wants to send it’s missiles to the US when Russia is threatening to invade it. What a splendid idea. Why didn’t the Poles think of it before?!

Maybe they can get the US to swap the missiles for some fucking red carpet and a big “WELCOME VLADIMIR” sign? I’m sure there’s a few kicking around a Mar-a-Largo.

  16. When Eastern Europe the most gung ho American allies usually on that xontinent is going NAH, Trump fucked up

Today on “what would America do DIFFERENTLY if they were working for Russia”

  18. Trump has this weird habit. He keeps asking people to do things that explicitly benefits Russia. It’s nor even a fluke. It happens a lot, almost constantly in fact.

I’m sure there’s no reason behind this at all.

  19. Poland used to be most pro-USA country in the world (with net favorable rating of like +84%), by a large margin (I think only Israel was even comparable). Literally more Polish citizens liked USA than Americans themselves did.

What Trump&Co managed to accomplish over past few years will be studied for years to come.

already seeing some muricans cry about why the world is turning their backs on em

deserved, the whole world need to start punishing usa back to their corner

Trump told Europe for a year that he didn’t need them for anything and they are content at this point to watch the immature crybaby ruin the USA that stupidly elected him twice.

  22. There’s a big reason why all of these countries are saying no, and it’s not because they don’t want to respect the USA. It’s because other countries take war seriously. Trump has said that the USA doesn’t actually need any help, so expecting other countries to go in when they’re not needed is asking them to put their own citizenry unnecessarily at risk, by Trump‘s own admission. Most nations take more more seriously.

It’s entirely possible that if Trump were too, change his tone, and said this is turning into something that we can’t handle by ourselves, and we need help, he might start getting different responses.

  23. Also Trump said multiple times that the US will not help if allies are attacked.
So why would you give weapons away? You need every bit.

  24. Since the US destroyed 10 years worth of patriot production in a few days shooting at plywood drones that Ukraine would‘ve taken down for nearly free, it‘s quite clear that for all intents and purposes whatever patriot systems you still have at hand, are the only ones you‘re gonna have for decades, and it would be quite stupid to give them to the US.
