Miroslavas Trockis is 35 years old. He lived in Vilnius, and in 2011 he graduated from Mykolas Romeris University (MRUni). Online, he always signed himself as Miroslav Trocki in Latin or Cyrillic.
It is known from open sources that the Lithuanian had close ties with Belarus. From his Facebook posts, it appears that he is either married or engaged to a Belarusian woman, and also has relatives there. He has also frequently travelled to Belarus since a young age.
In Telegram, Miroslav was only active in border crossing chats. In May 2024, he was looking for someone to stand in line for him at the border crossing point “Šalčininkai — Benyakoni”. There is also nothing in Miroslav’s other social networks that repressive Belarusian legislation could interpret as prohibited.
In the autumn of 2024, the man once again went to Belarus to visit his loved ones. He was detained during this trip.
The trial of the Lithuanian took place in the spring of 2026. On March 11, Miroslav received a harsh sentence — 15 years in a penal colony. The Dissidentby initiative says that the circumstances of the case are still being clarified, but it is possible that “espionage” is being discussed.
