CREWS WORK TO FULLY REPAIR, REOPEN BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY BY END OF 2026

While most of the nearly 500-mile parkway has reopened, crews are still working to repair damage from 45 landslides caused by Helene.

Drivers are urged to slow down and stay alert as crews move heavy equipment through some areas.

“Visitors, parkway neighbors should expect to see a significant volume of dump trucks traveling to and from those work locations using the parkway itself. This allows us to get the work done more quickly more efficiently,” said Leesa Brandon, the Blue Ridge Parkway Public Affairs Officer.
