When you see this in your local shop, it is time to sell your house.

Juhla mokka 8 EUR? Wtf? I’m shocked.
mimos_al on
8.40 for Juhla Mokka is pretty criminal to begin with.

Did they strap only juhlamokka or all the cofees?

Don’t worry. It’ll get much worse before it gets any better.

Is it normal for Finland, that the price is over the product, not directly under?

I started seeing things like this back in late 2024. It’s almost like austerity measures and intentionally kicking the rungs out from under those lowest on the ladder has negative societal impacts.
Huh. Who would’ve thought.

I have seen the nakki paketti with alarms, once not in my city more in the helsinki region. Here cheese is starting to be separately protected and tea also. But coffee for sure.

Desperate people will steal stuff that’s easy to resell. Coffee is one item that people will buy from a friend for a discount at the current prices.

I’ve seen these security measures on Lidl products for a good while now. Either these or those alarm stickers.
Question I’ve been wondering: news talking about shoplifting say these products get resold. Where? Who buys these? Don’t the buyers realize these products are stolen? How can this be profitable for shoplifters?

What tf, I live in country’s most unemployed area (at least was during last voting) and our big s market doesn’t have shit like that, while having huge amounts of questionable people around. How bad should it be where ever you took that pic at
