Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Aati received on Monday Lauri Hussar, Speaker of the Estonian Parliament, during his official visit to Cairo.

    The meeting highlighted the growing momentum in Egypt–Estonia relations and the shared commitment to deepen cooperation. Abdelatty stressed the importance of building on recent progress, particularly in trade and investment, pointing to Egypt’s promising economic opportunities.

    He emphasized expanding parliamentary exchanges, activating friendship groups, and boosting cultural and educational dialogue. The talks also covered academic cooperation in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and digital governance, alongside tourism promotion.

    The Foreign Minister reviewed regional developments, underlining Egypt’s efforts to ease tensions and prevent escalation. Discussions included the Palestinian issue, as well as the situations in Sudan, Lebanon, Libya, and Egypt’s water security.

    Hussar praised Egypt’s constructive role in supporting regional stability, commending its ongoing efforts to reduce conflict and promote international peace.
