The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) has kept its 2026 oil production forecast for Azerbaijan unchanged, signaling stability in the country’s energy output despite fluctuations in global markets.Â
According to the April issue of the EIA’s Short-Term Energy Outlook, daily oil production is expected to reach 540,000 barrels per day (b/d), mirroring last year’s levels and reflecting steady output across the coming quarters, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
In the first quarter of 2026, production is projected at 550,000 b/d, in line with the March forecast. The second quarter is expected to see output at 540,000 b/d, also matching the previous projection. For the third and fourth quarters, production is forecast at 530,000 b/d.
By comparison, Azerbaijan produced 570,000 b/d in the first and second quarters of 2025, with output declining to 560,000 b/d in the third and fourth quarters.
EIA data show that total liquid hydrocarbon production in Azerbaijan reached 570,000 b/d in 2025, highlighting a slight downward trend as the country moves into 2026.
