Former Croatian Defense Minister: If the Russians won against Ukraine for a month, Vucic would attack Kosovo

Former Croatian Defense Minister Ante Kotromanović has commented on Serbia’s armament, but also on other security issues related to the region and the world.
In an interview on N1, he also mentioned Kosovo, saying he believes Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić would have attacked it if Russia’s war with Ukraine had gone differently.
“I would like to recall that Croatia and Serbia signed a bilateral agreement on military-technical cooperation in 2009. On the basis of it, we sent them aid during the floods, and together we have conducted about ten or 15 military exercises of various types. Everything that Aleksandar Vučić is doing now regarding armaments is an internal instrument, with which he strengthens his position and the position of his party, along with an attempt to control all the segments he needs to stay in power,” said Kotromanović and continued:
“Also, they talk obsessively about Kosovo, which they cannot overcome. I believe that Vucic with his forces and some Russians would have gone all the way to Kosovo if Russia had won against Ukraine within a month. Who would have stopped him then?”
He also emphasized that there are differences when arming Croatia and when arming Serbia.
“Croatia is a member of NATO and has obligations. This is in no way a threat, and we would not join forces to attack Serbia. This is pure nonsense,” he said.
