Swiss-based, Hungarian-rooted MET Group has entered the North Macedonian energy market through its recently launched subsidiary, MET Skopje. The company is already present in Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Bulgaria, Romania and Türkiye.

The new subsidiary will be led by CEO Dalibor Stojevski, who has already built a strong track record in North Macedonia’s energy sector, including roles in commercial operations and power‑plant environments.

According to its announcement, MET Group recently started electricity and gas trading activities in the country. MET Skopje is already selling gas to end customers and will focus on providing electricity at the wholesale level.

“The establishment of MET Skopje is in line with MET Group’s strategy to focus on emerging natural gas and electricity markets in Southeastern European countries,” said Dalibor Stojevski. “Our main objective is to support security of supply, whilst also introducing new and innovative products tailored to meet local needs.”
