Dimmu Borgir, Satyricon and Enslaved booked for Norway’s Halloween “Super Bowl of Black Metal”

Dimmu Borgir have announced a Halloween homecoming dubbed “Unholy Halloween.” The Norwegian symphonic black metal outfit will headline Oslo Spektrum Arena in Oslo on October 31st with Satyricon and Enslaved also booked. 

Tickets will go on sale this Friday, April 10th at 10 AM CET.

The three bands are billing the night as the biggest black metal show ever staged on Norwegian soil, with Oslo Spektrum’s concert capacity topping out at roughly 11,500.

The announcement follows Dimmu Borgir recently unveiling their first album since 2018, Grand Serpent Rising, due out May 22nd.

Dimmu Borgir guitarist Silenoz shared the following:

This is more than a concert – it’s a statement. A celebration of a culture we’ve helped build over decades. Sharing the stage at Oslo Spektrum with bands that have been part of that same journey feels both significant and necessary.

Satyricon‘s Sigurd “Satyr” Wongraven added:

It’s been over 20 years since I first explored the idea of bringing together some of the giants of Norwegian black metal on the biggest stages in Europe. We never made it happen back then. Now, two decades later, it’s finally becoming a reality – and on a scale beyond anything we imagined. This will be our Super Bowl.

Finally, Enslaved‘s Ivar Bjørnson shared:

We are very excited about being invited to be part of this massive endeavour; which will celebrate the leading edge of Norwegian Metal on the appropriate scale! We will bring our best game as always… and then some!

Leading up to “Unholy Halloween”, Dimmu Borgir will join Behemoth and Dark Funeral for the “In League With Satan” European tour.
