PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Banner Health is asking the public for help identifying a man with severe head injuries who was hit by a car in central Phoenix earlier this year.

On Jan. 12, officers were called to a crash near 27th Avenue and Buckeye Road shortly after 5 a.m. Police said the man was struck by a vehicle and suffered serious injuries.

Investigators said the driver remained at the scene and spoke with authorities, but it is unclear whether the driver has been charged.

The man had no identification or other items that could help confirm who he was.

After exhausting all avenues to identify him or locate his family, Banner Health is asking for help reconnecting the man with loved ones.

The man has braces and several tattoos, as shown in the accompanying images. His tattoos include a portrait of singer Rihanna, a large open pocket watch on his forearm and the phrase “One Life, One Chance” on his side, among others.
