PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Every week, Arizona’s Family looks up restaurants recently inspected by Maricopa County’s Environmental Services Department. Restaurants with some of the highest numbers of “risk factors,” considered major health code violations by inspectors, are selected for our Dirty Dining Report. Here are the Valley restaurants that did not make the grade for April 8, 2026:
Master Taco – 14291 W. Grand Ave, Surprise
3 violations:
- Employee cleaning grill with cleaning product tried to grab tortilla
- Employee washing knives improperly
- Cooked chilis not cooling properly
Eastwind Sushi and Grill – 58 W. Buffalo St, Chandler
3 violations:
- No certified food manager on site
- No sanitizer detected in dishwasher
- Crab mix not kept cold enough
KIMTHAO’s Bakery and Food to Go – 2050 N. Alma School Rd, Chandler
3 violations:
- No sanitizer detected in dishwasher
- Rice not cooling properly
- Rice cakes not kept cold enough
Kneaders Bakery and Café – 5155 E. Baseline Rd, Gilbert
3 violations:
- Cook cracked eggs, touched bread without changing gloves
- Sausage patties not kept hot enough
- Roast beef not kept cold enough
Zipps Sports Grill – 14148 N. 100th St, Scottsdale
3 violations:
- Employees handled raw meat, changed gloves without washing hands
- Cooked onions not kept hot enough
- Raw chicken not kept cold enough
