Nationwide Rain, Strong Coastal Winds Forecast Friday Morning

Spring rain is falling across most of the country, with heavy rain advisories in place along the southern coast.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, strong winds will hit the west and south coasts, as well as Jeju, through Friday, and waves will be very high across most seas.

The rain will stop in most regions by Friday morning, but may continue into the afternoon in the Gyeonggi, Gangwon, and North Chungcheong provinces.

Jeju could receive 20 to 80 millimeters of rain through Friday and more than 100 millimeters in some areas.

Expected precipitation in Gwangju and South Jeolla Province, as well as the southern port city of Busan, the city of Ulsan and South Gyeongsang Province, is 20 to 80 millimeters, while the Chungcheong region is likely to see 10 to 40 millimeters, and the greater Seoul area and Gangwon Province up to 40 millimeters.

Morning lows will range from 9 to 17 degrees Celsius nationwide, while daytime highs will range from 12 to 25 degrees Celsius.

In Seoul, temperatures will fall to eleven degrees in the morning and rise to about 15 degrees in the afternoon.
