Rubio thanks Romania for support on Middle East operations

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has spoken with Romanian Foreign Minister Oana Toiu to express appreciation for Romania’s support for US military operations in the war against Iran.

According to the U.S. State Department, Rubio thanked Romania for what he described as “swift and decisive support” for U.S. efforts in the region, Caliber.Az reports.

During the call, both officials also discussed ways to deepen bilateral cooperation across several strategic sectors, including defence, energy, emerging technologies, and critical minerals.

Offshore gas development and civil nuclear projects were among the areas highlighted for potential expansion of collaboration.
