Fuel prices in Switzerland have increased significantly in recent weeks, increasing by up to 25 percent, reports albinfo.ch.

According to the data, this increase has begun since the outbreak of the conflict in Iran on February 28 and especially after the blockade in the Strait of Hormuz, a key point for global oil transport.

As a result, prices at gas stations have increased significantly. Today, unleaded 95 gasoline has increased from 1.67 to 1.89 francs per liter, while gasoline 98 has increased from 1.78 to 2 francs per liter.

Diesel has also experienced the largest increase, rising from 1.75 to 2.24 francs per liter.

In total, these changes represent increases of 13%, 12% and 25% respectively, reflecting the direct impact of geopolitical tensions on energy markets./Albinfo.ch.
