Albania’s Prime Minister, Edi Rama, on Sunday released the latest episode of his podcast “Flasim,” where he outlined key government priorities discussed over the past week, focusing on the upcoming Diaspora Summit, wage growth, pensions, foreign investment, and a recent European Union report on public procurement.
Rama placed particular emphasis on the Fourth Diaspora Summit, set to take place on April 13 in Tirana. He described the event as more than a recognition of Albanians living abroad, highlighting that it will also honor foreign friends who have supported and collaborated with the Albanian community.
“In the week starting tomorrow, we welcome to Tirana the fourth edition of the Diaspora Summit, bringing together Albanians from all over the world—those who live and work abroad but keep their eyes on Albania,” Rama said. He added that the opening ceremony will focus on personal stories of success, dedication, and achievement, presenting them as a source of national pride and inspiration.
According to the prime minister, the summit aims to strengthen ties beyond symbolic gestures by building a structured global network of Albanians and their partners. He stressed that the diaspora has become a tangible force for the country’s development, especially following what he described as its historic participation in Albania’s political elections.
