India is in touch with several countries over the evolving situation in the Strait of Hormuz, raising concerns about maritime safety and energy flows, the MEA said. Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated that efforts are underway to ensure the safe return of Indian vessels operating in the region. The issue was also discussed during a call between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Donald Trump, where India emphasized de-escalation and dialogue. Officials said 75 sailors were repatriated in the last 24 hours, while over 2,300 have been brought back so far. However, 15 Indian-linked vessels remain stranded, highlighting ongoing risks.
