A wanted man with an international warrant for “Counterfeiting Money” is extradited from Switzerland to Kosovo

The Kosovo Police, namely the Directorate for International Police Cooperation, in coordination and cooperation with other relevant units of the Kosovo Police and justice institutions, today extradited a Kosovo citizen from Switzerland to Kosovo.
The suspect was arrested by Swiss authorities after he was wanted through INTERPOL with an international warrant issued by Kosovo justice institutions for the criminal offense of “Counterfeiting Money” and had evaded justice, the KP reports. Â
“The extradition was carried out based on the laws in force and through close cooperation between the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo and those of Switzerland, and after extradition, the same was handed over to the relevant police units for continuation of other legal procedures,” the announcement states.
“The Kosovo Police will continue to exchange information with local institutions, states and international organizations, with the aim of preventing, investigating and detecting criminal activities related to the investigation of perpetrators of criminal offenses, as well as other activities in tracking, capturing and arresting persons and criminal groups operating inside and outside the country,” the announcement concludes.
