Estonian President Alar Karis will pay an official visit to Greece from April 19 to 22, following an invitation by Greek President Constantine Tassoulas, it was announced on Friday.

Specifically, Karis will arrive in Greece on Sunday afternoon and begin his official visits and meetings on Monday, April 20. At 10:55 on Monday, he will lay a wreath at the Monument of the Unknown Soldier and be welcomed officially at the Presidential Mansion by Tassoulas at 11:00, before the two meet privately at 11:15.

This will be followed by expanded talks between the two countries’ delegations, and at 12:45 a lunch will be hosted by Parliament President Nikitas Kaklamanis at Aegli Zappeiou in honor of the Estonian president.
Following this, and at 14:45, President Karis will meet with Education, Religions and Sports Minister Sofia Zacharaki at the Central Coordination Facility for Innovation Centers, and at 16:30 he will be given a tour of the Acropolis archaeological site.

At 17:40, the Estonian president will pay a visit to Athens office of the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA), and at 19:30 he will attend a formal dinner at the Presidential Mansion, hosted in his honor by President Tassoulas.

On Tuesday (April 21), Alar Karis will visit the Aghios Ioannis Monastery in Agia near Larissa and on Wednesday he will visit Delphi, where he will deliver an address at the XI Delphi Economic Forum before leaving Greece the same afternoon.
