“Peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia will make a significant contribution not only to the South Caucasus but also at the global level,” Vice President of the Republic of Türkiye Cevdet Yılmaz said this in a statement to APA’s correspondent dispatched to Antalya.
He noted that the existing positive political atmosphere should be utilized at the highest level: “We hope that the final stages will also be completed and that we will all witness the achievement of lasting peace together. A certain political atmosphere has already been formed. With the full establishment of peace, the South Caucasus will enter a completely new environment. Thus, everyone will benefit. Karabakh is already being rebuilt as part of Azerbaijan. Large investments have been made in this direction, and significant work has been carried out. These are important for all of us, and the process is still ongoing. Considerable progress has already been achieved there.”
Cevdet Yılmaz noted that Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and the South Caucasus region as a whole will benefit from this.
“On the other hand, the Zangezur corridor holds great importance. With this peace, the connection between Azerbaijan and Türkiye will be further strengthened. At the same time, ties between Europe and Asia will also be reinforced,” he added.
