First Congregational United Church of Christ in Jamestown will be holding its annual Swiss Steak Supper from 4:30-6 p.m. Friday, April 24. This will be drive-up delivery only in the church parking lot (north side of building) at 201 2nd St. SE.

The meal includes Swiss steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, coleslaw, homemade buns and dessert. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased in advance by calling the church office at (701) 252-0277. Leave a message if no answer. There will also be tickets available at the event until the steaks run out.

The members of First Congregational UCC worship at 10 a.m. on Sundays. First Congregational is an Open & Affirming congregation, welcoming LGBTQ persons and people of all gender identities, abilities and ethnicities. Outreach in the community is a cornerstone of its life together. Some of the church’s recent outreach includes collecting food and school supplies for Community Action Region VI, laundry supplies for Laundry Love, gift cards for the Dakota Children’s Advocacy Center, Christmas gifts to clients of the North Dakota State Hospital, vacation Bible school craft supplies for the Anne Carlsen Center, serving the free community meal at “Come to the Table” and financial donations to Our Daily Bread and Kara’s Closet. The church also hosts a popular rummage sale in the summer.
