Agim Bahtiri calls for “union and unity”: We have 10 more days for the President – Kosovo above all

Vetevendosje Movement MP Agim Bahtiri, commenting on the issue of the presidential election, called on other MPs to “unite, create stability and give the people the security they deserve.”

Bahtiri has called for divisions to be set aside before “it is too late”, and that “peace is not a game, but trusts are left with blood”.

UNITY AND UNITY: KOSOVO IS ABOVE ALL!

Dear colleagues and citizens,

We are in the days when we do not need party triumphs, but national responsibility.

While we deal with political rancor and whims, Serbia is arming itself every day. Their ominous plans and objectives are centuries-old dreams that will never die, and we must NEVER give them the opportunity to make that dream a reality.

When the world is in chaos and threats are growing at our borders, we dare not leave our country homeless. A divided Kosovo is the best gift for our enemies, as was seen in yesterday’s session, when the Serbian List came to the assembly, not to help elect the two members of the constitutional court, but to block this process.

The state is not a game, but trusts left in blood.

We have 10 more days to conclude the process of electing the President. I call on every MP: Let’s come together, create stability, and give the people the security they deserve.

Let’s put aside our divisions before it’s too late. History judges us by what we build, or what we allow to be destroyed.
