A bridge at Castle Junction in Banff National Park is closed to all traffic for repairs, Parks Canada says.

The closure affects the Bow River bridge on Highway 93 South (Banff-Windermere) between the Trans-Canada Highway and the railway near Castle Junction, including the Castle Junction–Bow River parking area.
Parks Canada says the closure is issued under Section 36(1) of the National Parks General Regulations of the Canada National Parks Act.
The closure is in effect from April 19 to April 30, according to a Parks Canada bulletin issued April 19. The agency states the closure is due to bridge repairs.
A Parks Canada public notice states there is no direct access between the Trans-Canada Highway and the Bow Valley Parkway at Castle Junction during the closure.
The notice states the Bow Valley Parkway remains accessible between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. via its east entrance near the Town of Banff and its west entrance near Lake Louise.
It adds that from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m., the eastern section of the Bow Valley Parkway between Fireside and Johnston Canyon is closed, while the western section from Lake Louise remains open.
It also states that day-use areas, trails, campgrounds and accommodations remain open.
Parks Canada says violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act, with a maximum penalty of $25,000.
