A strategic meeting signalled fresh momentum for joint defense production with Denmark. Details point to drone projects and deeper long term security ties.
The First Deputy Head of the Office of the President, Serhiy Kysylytsia, held a meeting with Jeppe Tranholm-Mikkelsen, the Permanent Secretary of the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during which the parties focused on the topic of joint defense production and long-term security cooperation.
According to the Office of the President, during the meeting particular attention was paid to the Build with Ukraine initiative, aimed at joint production of defense products, particularly on Danish territory. Also discussed were possibilities for implementing joint projects, including in the field of unmanned systems production, and steps to expand defense-industrial cooperation, which is intended to strengthen regional security.

Looking at the Prospects for Cooperation
During the meeting, Kysylytsia emphasised Ukraine’s interest in a long-term security partnership with Denmark in the Drone Deal format. He recalled President Volodymyr Zelensky’s relevant agreements not only with countries of the Middle East and the Gulf region, but also with several European states.
The parties also exchanged views on the global situation, the negotiating process and joint efforts to achieve peace, increase pressure on Russia and coordinate to advance Ukraine’s path toward EU membership.
According to official sources, Ukraine may soon receive up to €2.7 billion under the Ukraine Facility.
These developments open up prospects for further cooperation in the defense industry and security initiatives, which are intended to support stability in the region and strengthen the country’s defense capabilities.
